GOOD Magazine
2006–2011Role:
Art Director, Lead Designer
GOOD began as a magazine and media platform focused on people and organizations advancing civic life. As the first in-house designer—and later art director—I worked alongside the creative director and the editorial studio Open (led by Scott Stowell), bridging in-house continuity with agency-level craft. The takeaway was durable: align the work with the values, and let the message lead the medium.
In 2011 I led a full redesign of the magazine to help sharpen the editorial voice and grow a like-minded community. The work introduced an udpated grid and typographic system, clarified art direction, and expanded information design—strengthening coherence across print and digital extensions.
